UPS San Francisco shooting : Gunman kills three employees before shooting himself

San Francisco crime news : A gunman opened fire killing three people before shooting himself at the San Francisco facility of package delivery company United Parcel Service (UPS) on Wednesday.

The gunman in the UPS San Francisco shooting incident wore a UPS uniform but it is not yet confirmed whether he was or is an employee with the company.

The UPS shooting incident in San Francisco, California had two more people shot at but they managed to survive. According to a CNN report on the San Francisco crime news story, the gunman when confronted by the cops shot himself dead.

The names of the gunman or the victims are yet to be released by either the police or UPS.

Cops were called in after a call at about 8:55 AM local time about the presence of a gunman at the UPS San Francisco Customer Center, near Franklin Square.

The police could soon find the armed gunman with an assault pistol, and even before they could neutralize him, the man shot himself dead at point-blank but not before shooting at five people.

The facility where the UPS San Francisco shooting happened is an area package sorting hub and package delivery center where 350 people are employed by the package delivery company.

UPS released a statement regarding the San Francisco shooting incident which read: “The company is saddened and deeply concerned about affected employees, family members and the community we share.   Our thoughts and prayers are with all those touched by this incident.

“To assist our employees during this time, UPS has made professional counseling available.”
