US airline company United Airlines has opened a new 6,000-square-foot United Club airport lounge at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Located in the brand-new terminal of the airport, near gate C7, the club is said to provide a wide range of amenities to work, relax, and refresh for customers during their travels.

Alexander Dorow – United Airlines managing director of premium services said: “Our expansion into New Orleans showcases United’s commitment to transforming the customer experience across all touch points and complements the beautiful new terminal at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport.

“It’s a fresh location for us to begin our evolution to become more local and reach new audiences.”

The menu of the new airport lounge in New Orleans features muffuletta sliders with pimento cheese, gumbo and rice, Creole egg salad, and Cajun pepper dip. The drink selection, on the other hand, has local staples such as Abita Amber beer and Southern Comfort, apart from a range of wine, beer, and cocktail options.

The New Orleans United Club has 95 seats, with various types of seating areas for productivity, privacy, and dining. The airport lounge at the New Orleans airport provides free high-speed Wi-Fi and is said to have several power outlets and USB ports.

According to United Airlines, the New Orleans United Club location is the first club to open under the brand in 2020 and is part of its ongoing efforts to renovate and introduce new locations across its network.

The US airline company is also working on brand-new United Club locations at Newark Liberty International Airport, scheduled to open next year, and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, set to open later this year.

Construction will also start on a brand-new and larger United Club location at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu. Apart from that, United Airlines will open its United Polaris lounge this summer at Washington Dulles International Airport, which will be the sixth airport lounge in the United Polaris lounge network.
