DMK Chief who was admitted to Kauvery hospital had undergone Tracheostomy – an incision in the windpipe, to relieve obstruction in breathing.
The health bulletin was released by the Kauveri hospital at 01:00 pm on 16th December stating his health condition as stable and is on antibiotics. He is being monitored by a team of doctors.
Tamil Nadu DMK President M Karunanidhi was admitted to a private hospital as he suffered cold and indigestion.
M Karunanidhi is former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister. As per the DMK sources, Karunanidhi is also suffering from urinary infections and is admitted to the hospital to avoid further complications.
Karunanidhi was admitted to Kauvery hospital late in the night to get treatment for cold and indigestion as said by the party sources. He also complained of difficulty in breathing.
The hospital authorities who are treating him said that Karunanidhi health condition is stable and is getting treatment to clear the infection. He is suffering from throat and lung infections.
Karunanindi aged 93 years was admitted to the same hospital previously on December 1st for optimization of nutrition and hydration.
At that time he was admitted to get treatment for drug induced allergy and his condition improved after treatment. This is the second time that he was admitted to the hospital in a short span of 20 days.
He was discharged just a week ago after treatment for drug induced allergy on December 7th.
