PM Narendra Modi, Telangana CM KCR take first ride in Metro Rail

India Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Hyderabad Metro Rail at Miyapur Station and took the inaugural ride to and fro from Miyapur along with Telangana CM KCR, Governor ESL Narasimhan, KTR  and few others along the 30 km Nagole-Miyapur stretch.

The wait has finally ended for Hyderabadis who want to travel in Metro and they can now get relief from traffic problems and can also save time.

Narendra Modi flagged off the Hyderabad Metro and took a ride from Miyapur to Kukatpally and back driven by a women.

Narendra Modi reached Begumpet and to everyone’s surprise he spoke in Telugu saying he like Hyderabad.

The Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited was formed in 2007 and the State government reached a deal with Maytas Infra. Navbharat Ventures, IL&FS and Ital Thai became consortia partners on September 19, 2008. But the agreement was cancelled on July 7, 2009 after Maytas’ parent company – Satyam Computers was caught in a major financial scam. After that L&T took over the Metro project and they inaugurated the works on November 25, 2012.
