North Korea hydrogen bomb test : North Korea claims to have achieved success in an advanced hydrogen bomb test on Sunday which was sort of confirmed by South Korean and Japanese officials who detected earthquake near the test site.

The North Korea hydrogen bomb test is expected to escalate tensions with the US, prompting the world power to initiate action on Pyongyang before things get out of control.

Both Japan and South Korea stated that North Korea’s advanced hydrogen bomb test triggered an earthquake that was about 10 times more powerful than its detonations in the past. Reuters reported that Japan and South Korea claim that it was the sixth nuclear test conducted by North Korea till date.

North Korea hydrogen bomb test comes just hours after US President Donald Trump’s phone call with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe about the intensifying Korean nuclear crisis.

Through its state television, North Korea declared that its hydrogen bomb test was a perfect success and a meaningful decision taken by its Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un in bolstering its nuclear weapons.

North Korea stated that it intends to mount the advanced hydrogen bomb on its intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM). The country’s announcement followed the 6.3 magnitude explosion that shook the earth 22km of Sungjibaegam in North Korea as reported by the US Geological Survey (USGS).

USGS stated: “Possible explosion, located near the site where North Korea has detonated nuclear explosions in the past. If this event was an explosion, the USGS National Earthquake Information Center cannot determine its type, whether nuclear or any other possible type.”

North Korea’s state-controlled news agency KCNA reporting on the North Korea hydrogen bomb test described the hydrogen bomb as an explosive power which can be adjusted to hundreds kiloton from tens kiloton. It further revealed that the North Korean hydrogen bomb is a multi-functional thermonuclear nuke which can cause great destruction.

The North Korean hydrogen bomb which has been made from homemade components according to KCNA has the capability to be detonated at high altitudes as well for carrying out a super-powerful electromagnetic pulse attack on its targets.

Towards the end of last month, North Korea launched its Hwasong-12 intermediate-range ballistic missile over Japan in the Pacific waters near the US territory of Guam.
