North Korea accuses US of declaring war, warns of destroying US bombers

Escalating tensions further, North Korea on Monday accused Donald Trump of declaring war on it and that it holds the right to retaliate by destroying US strategic bombers even if they are not flying over its air space.

North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho, who has conveyed Pyongyang’s message at the United Nations General Assembly, reminded that the US President Donald Trump’s twitter message on Saturday warned him and his Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un that they  “won’t be around much longer”.

Ri Yong Ho stated that the warning was nothing but a declaration of war even as White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders denied that the charges, while calling them as “absurd”.

The North Korean Foreign Minister dared the US that the question of who would not last much longer will be replied when Pyongyang makes countermeasures against Washington.

In a show of strength, US Air Force B-1B Lancer bombers from Guam flew off the North Korean coast escorted by Force F-15C Eagle fighters  from Okinawa, Japan on Saturday which was the closest military move from Washington after all the rhetoric.

Pentagon said that the bombers and the fighters flew in international airspace over international waters east of North Korea which technically wasn’t any violation of any country’s airspace although it was the first action of signaling the readiness of the US in striking Pyongyang.

Chief Pentagon Spokesperson Dana W. White stated:  “This is the farthest north of the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) any U.S. fighter or bomber aircraft have flown off North Korea’s coast in the 21st century, underscoring the seriousness with which we take DPRK’s reckless behavior.

“This mission is a demonstration of U.S. resolve and a clear message that the President has many military options to defeat any threat. North Korea’s weapons program is a grave threat to the Asia-Pacific region and the entire international community. We are prepared to use the full range of military capabilities to defend the U.S. homeland and our allies.”

North Korea in the UN General Assembly revealed that it would inevitably fire its rockets at US mainland.
