Nirav Modi’s beach bungalow demolished using explosives

Nirav Modi’s beach bungalow in Alibaug of Maharashtra estimated to be around Rs 100 crore was demolished using huge quantity of explosives on Friday.

The 33,000 square foot luxurious bungalow on Kihim beach, which was an illegal construction that violated coastal regulation zone norms and state regulations as well.

But the foundation of the bungalow was very strong and the authorities struggled very much to demolish using heavy machinery. So to speed up the demolition, they used a controlled explosion using dynamite.

The demolition was carried out following Bombay High Court Order on a PIL filed by non-profit Shamburaje Kranti in 2009. The PIL demanded action against illegal hotels, bungalows and resorts that violate laws.

Nirav Modi is a fugitive billionaire and is absconding. He is one the prime accused in Punjab National Bank scam.
