Naga Chaitanya’s Premam Telugu remake to release on October 7

Malayalam superhit remake Premam which stars Naga Chaitanya and Shruti Haasan is all set to release in theatres tomorrow.

Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, Premam has been produced by Suryadevara Nagavamsi and presented by PDV Prasad under the Sitara Entertainments banner.

Chandoo Mondeti is the director of the thriller movie Karthikeya which starred Nikhil.

Premam is the official remake of the 2015 Malayalam movie of the same name which was directed by Alphonse Putharen.

The Telugu version also has hero Nithiin in a guest role as well as hero Venkatesh who can be seen as the father of Naga Chaitanya! In real life, Venkatesh is the ‘Maama’ (Uncle) of Naga Chaitanya.

While Shruti Haasan has reprised the role played by Sai Pallavi in the original Malayalam movie, Anupama Parameswaran and Madonna Sebastian have repeated their Malayalam roles in the Telugu version.

Premam revolves around Naga Chaitanya’s life and his three love stories. How he goes through each of them – from good times to the bad times will be shown in the movie.

Whether Naga Chaitanya named as Vikram in Premam will finally find his true love or not is the crux of the story.

Going by the story, Premam does remind us of the Ravi Teja starrer My Autograph which also features the protagonist and his three different love episodes.

So Premam is definitely not a new subject at all but how it has been treated is what would matter on the big screen.

Both Gopi Sunder and Rajesh Murugesan have scored the music of the Telugu Premam. Songs will be the key for the movie’s success in Tollywood.

With already four of the original Premam songs retained, there is a readymade hit on hands for the film unit.

Now the question whether the emotional scenes in the movie will connect with the Telugu audience or not. Or will they get overburdened by the sentimental scenes will be answered soon by Premam Box Office collections which are going to be released in another 24 hours or so.
