Two persons died, six injured and atleast 40 feared trapped after an underconstruction building collapsed in Dharwad in Karnataka on Tuesday.
It is a four-storeyed under construction building and it came crashing down. It triggered panic among neighbours and passers by.
Five persons have been recovered from the debris and Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy instructed the officials to visit the building collapse site.
HD Kumaraswamy expressed his shock over the incident and tweeted: “Shocked to learn about the collapse of an under-construction building in Dharwad. I have instructed the Chief Secretary to supervise rescue operations. I have also directed the CS to send additional resources and expert rescuers by a special flight to Dharwad.”
The rescue operation is being carried out. Ten ambulances and five fire tenders are engaged in rescue operations.
