Although Apollo Hospitals hasn’t released Jayalalitha health bulletin for more than a week, it has been reported in the media that her health condition is improving.
As per the latest news on Jayalalitha health condition, Amma continues to be closely monitored by the team of doctors that has been treating her ever since she was hospitalized.
Recently, a specialist from Singapore was flown in to join the experts for Jayalalitha treatment. It has been reported that the Singapore specialist is giving her passive therapy.
The latest Jayalalitha health status is that Amma is still on respiratory support, the good news is that she is doing away with it for atleast some part of the day. Particularly, in the night time, doctors are ensuring that she is on continued respiratory support.
As per The Hindu, the team of three AIIMS doctors and also consultant intensivist from London Dr Richard Beale, have left and are no longer treating the Tamil Nadu CM at Apollo Hospitals.
A report in Hindustan Times based on a statement from a senior AIADMK leader C Ponnaiyan about the latest Jayalalitha health status says that the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister is making good progress and that there is no reason to worry about her health.
Ponnaiya also claimed that Jayalalithaa is also talking with people and has been in regular touch with Dr Richard Beale. He also downplayed the respiratory support she has been receiving, saying that it was a normal medical procedure as she has breathing problem because of a lung infection.
Meanwhile, arrests continue in Tamil Nadu of mischievous rumour mongers for spreading malicious and fake health rumours about Jayalalithaa on social media. Already over 50 cases have been registered by the Tamil Nadu police in this regard which has been criticized as over-reaction.
The Tamil Nadu CM has been in Apollo Hospital critical unit since September 22 ever since she had complained of fever and dehydration. It has been widely reported that the secrecy surrounding Jayalalitha health condition has led to rumour mongers have their way on Whatsapp, Facebook and other social media sites.
