Indian Air Force carried out aerial strikes at major terror camps in Pakistan occupied Kashmir on Tuesday and completely destroyed them in revenge to the Pulwama suicidal attack that martyred more than 40 jawans.
IAF sources said: “12 Mirage 2000 jets took part in the operation that dropped 1000 Kg bombs on terror camps across LoC (Line of Control), completely destroying them”.
The aerial strike was carried out at 3:30 AM on Tuesday morning using 12 Mirage 2000 fighter jets.The attack took place after 12 days after Pakistan based Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) carried out attack on CRPF convoy in Pulwama in Kashmir killing 40 personnel and injuring five others.
Pulwama attack led to nation-wide outrage on Pakistan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi had vowed that those behind the attack would be punished and gave free hand to the army.
Entire world community expressed solidarity after the attack. The US said that it supports India for its Right to self defence.
The aircraft dropped 1000 KG bombs on specific major terror camps and completely destroyed them.
