Flash flood in China’s Sichuan province killed 25 and the body of the last missing person was recovered today.

A village was badly hit by heavy rains and the death toll today was increased to 25 in China’s southwest Sichuan province.

As per the reports from state-run Xinhua news agency, the flood struck the village at around 6 AM (local time) on Tuesday in Puge county’s Gengdi village in Liangshan Yi autonomous prefecture and four persons suffered injuries.

The flash flood in China has affected 577 people belonging to 157 households. 71 houses were destroyed by the heavy rains along with many roads and bridges.

Search operation is conducted by around 1000 people for finding out the missing persons. 200 rescue workers participated to find the survivors.

Relief goods like tents, quilts and clothes were sent for the affected residents.

China was also hit by a strong earthquake that killed around 19 and several perons were injured.
