Enraged customer stabs hotel owner in Kochi as he did not like vada!

A hotel owner in Kochi was stabbed to death by his customer as he did not like the vada.

A Kerala man killed a 45-year-old man who runs Hotel Shibin at Mangalapalli in Janatha Road, Vyttila. The deceased is identified as Johnson and the accused man is Ratheesh native of Idukki.

The customer got frustrated with the poor quality of snacks that was served to him. The irated Ratheesh stabbed the hotel owner in the neck and fled from there.

This shocking incident took place at around 2:30 pm on Wednesday afternoon.

The accused person Ratheesh had a breakfast at Hotel Shibin and entered into heated argument with Johnson, the owner of the hotel over the poor quality of vada.



He left the hotel at that time and was consuming beer at the beer parlour when he saw Johnson passing through the SA Road.

Ratheesh in a drunken state again started quarrelling with Johnson on the road and stabbed him with a knife.

Johnson was immediately taken to a nearby hospital and afterwards to Medical Trust Hospital where he succumbed injuries by 4:30 pm.

As his veins were cut on the neck, he died later.

K Lalji, Assistant Commissioner of Ernakulam said that they were searching for the accused person.
