Donald Trump threatens to scrap Iran nuclear agreement 2015

Iran nuclear agreement 2015 : American President Donald Trump on Friday opted not to certify that Tehran is complying with the 2015 Iran nuclear deal and warned that he could eventually scrap it altogether.

Trump’s decision comes as a fresh blow to the Iran nuclear agreement defying other major powers in the world like Russia, Britain, Germany, China, France and the European Union that are part of the deal with Tehran.

The US President in a speech revealed the major transition in state policy in which he elaborated a more confronting way of dealing with Iran, reported the Reuters. Trump was referring to Tehran’s nuclear and ballistic missile missions along with its alleged support for terror groups in the Middle East.

The American President alleged that Iran was going against the nuclear pact. Donald Trump said that his objective is to make sure that the country never gets its hands on a nuclear weapon.

Donald Trump in his speech, alleged the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of the Iranian armed forces of destabilizing Syria, Iraq and Yemen.

A statement from the White House read: “The Trump Administration’s Iran policy will address the totality of these threats from and malign activities by the Government of Iran and will seek to bring about a change in the Iranian’s regime’s behavior.

“The Trump Administration will accomplish these objectives through a strategy that neutralizes and counters Iranian threats, particularly those posed by the IRGC.”

The US President’s speech now leaves the fate of the 2015 Iran nuclear agreement to Congress.

While Israel commended Donald Trump’s remarks on the Iran nuclear deal, the European allies disagreed with the American President’s toughened stance on Iran.
