Donald Trump survives possible assassination attempt in Nevada

Donald Trump had to be whisked away from the stage by Secret Service agents on Saturday evening after they detected a protestor threatening to harm the Republican presidential nominee during a rally in Nevada.

The audience who had gathered in support of Donald Trump at Reno was in total panic. There was a rumor that the man who was possibly trying to harm or even assassinate Donald Trump had a gun.

However, the security personnel did not recover any weapon, indicating that the arrested man was unarmed. Confusion still prevails though whether the man did carry any weapon or not.

In the video that has been released in relation to the incident, Donald Trump can be seen suddenly shielding his eyes before he was escorted away by two security agents behind the stage.

Action then resumed in the front rows of the audience as security people surrounded a man who was grounded and appeared to be kicking a man before arresting him. Lots of supporters started to record the video though they couldn’t film the man on the ground who was totally surrounded by the security men.

Later, a footage revealed a white male as a suspect who was allegedly trying to harm Donald Trump. However, it has been reported that before 11:00 PM EST, the man was released leaving the question whether it was a false alarm raised by the security.

Donald Trump returned after a while, and resumed his speech to the gallery, appearing unrattled by the incident.

The Republican presidential nominee thanked the Secret Service and called them as fantastic. Trump said that the Secret Service doesn’t get enough credit before calling them as amazing people.

He also said that he had spotted the protestor whom he claimed to be a Hillary Clinton supporter before asking the security people to remove him from the gathering.

Before Donald Trump flew away in his Trump Force One Boeing 757 , issued a statement on the incident saying: “I would like to thank the United States Secret Service and the law enforcement resources in Reno and the state of Nevada for their fast and professional response.

“I also want to thank the many thousands of people present for their unwavering and unbelievable support. Nothing will stop us – we will make America great again.”
