Donald Trump defends decision to fire James Comey as FBI Director

American President Donald Trump has defended his decision to abruptly fire James Comey as the FBI Director on Wednesday saying that he “wasn’t doing a good job”.

On his twitter handle, Donald Trump wrote that James Comey as the FBI Director had lost the confidence of almost everyone whether it is in Washington, Republican or Democratic parties.

Donald Trump slammed the Democrats as phony hypocrites, saying that they have been complaining for months together about James Comey and now that he has been sacked, they are pretending to be aggrieved.

Taking to twitter, Donald Trump posted a video which shows Democrat leaders pass several comments on the removal of James Comey as FBI Director in the past.

On Tuesday, the American President sacked James Comey as the FBI Director over his handling of the Hillary Clinton mail investigation. Trump said that James Comey was no longer fit to head the agency effectively.

In the aftermath of Trump’s firing of James Comey, the Democrats are demanding an independent probe to look into his presidential campaign, especially at his alleged collusion with Moscow to sway the US Presidential Elections 2016 in his favour against Hillary Clinton.

Meanwhile, White House Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said that James Comey had deceived the chain of command which eventually led President Donald Trump to relieve him from his post of FBI Director.

Protesting Donald Trump’s decision to fire James Comey as FBI Directory, hundreds gathered outside the White House to demand for a special prosecutor to be appointed to look into the alleged Kremlin interference in the US Elections 2016.
