Congress releases list of 65 candidates, constituencies in demand put on hold

Congress has finally released the list of 65 candidates on Monday night and the decision on some constituencies which are in demand are kept on hold.

To meet the demands of the Mahakutami or alliance of opposition parties for allotment of more seats, Congress party chose to engage in a friendly contest. In addition to the seats allotted by them, if the allies contest any other seats, they will have a friendly contest with Congress.

Allies in Mahakutami – The Telangana Jana Samiti (TJS) and the Telugu Desam Party in Telangana have decided to release the first list of their candidates in Tuesday. CPI has already announced its candidates.

In the friendly contest of Congress, their candidates will be in field in some constituencies where the alliance candidates from CPI, TJS and TD are also contesting.
