Chinnamma Sasikala Natarajan likely to give up TN CM race

AIADMK’s new supremo VK Sasikala Natarajan on Saturday held a meeting with the party MLAs whom she had camped in the Gold Bay resort to ensure that her flock stayed intact.

The latest from the Sasikala Natarajan camp is that Chinnamma could actually give up her desire to become the Tamil Nadu CM and instead have a rubber stamp candidate for the post.

According to an Indian Express report, KA Sengottaiyan, the new AIADMK presidium chairman could be put forward as Sasikala Natarajan’s candidate for the CM post.

It can be said that the continued delay from Tamil Nadu Governor C Vidyasagar Rao in taking a decision is only making VK Sasikala more restless, especially with the Supreme Court verdict on the Jayalalithaa disproportionate assets case also likely to come on Monday.

At the Gold Bay resort, MLAs who are said to be supporting Chinnamma for CM are having second thoughts as Sasikala Natarajan’s chances to take the coveted seat are becoming bleak. O Panneerselvam has not only gathered public support but gradually getting MLAs and MPs in his fold to make Sasikala more nervous.

Governor C Vidyasagar Rao seems to be biding his time, in no hurry as the political drama continues to unfold at the Gold Bay resort as well as in the Panneerselvam camp which is tilting the powers in its favour while defying Sasikala Natarajan’s ambition to become the next Tamil Nadu Chief Minister.
