Roopa Ganguly was earlier hospitalized on May 22 after she suffered head injuries. Trinamool Congress workers allegedly attacked her near Diamon Harbour when she was returning from a party meeting in Kakdwip in South 24 Parganas district.

She was discharged after the doctors told that she was out of danger. Now the recent blood clots in brain tissue may be the result of the previous attack.
