Bengaluru dermatologist and cosmetologist, Priya Sharath was adjudged as the first runner up of the International Beauty Pageant 2019.
Dr Priya Sharath represented India in the Mrs United National International beauty pageant 2019 held in Toronto recently.
She won Mrs India Galaxy in 2018 and was previously crowned as Mrs Social Icon for her social service and went on to win Mrs India United Nation International held in New Delhi.
She said: “It has been my childhood passion to walk on the ramp. During college days I was busy with my studies and later responsibility towards my family kept me on toes. Now that my son anuj is in the 8th grade, and can look after himself, I decided to give modelling a shot”.
Dr Priya Sharath from Mangaluru finished her MBBS from JSS Medical College, Mysuru and done MD from Fr Muller Medical College, Mangaluru. She is doing a job as professor in the Department of Dermatology at RajaRajeswari Medical College and Research Centre.
She added: “My dream is to work for the victims of acid attack and bring them to the mainstream. Their rehabilitation will be my priority and I already have a plan before me. I have also discussed this project with a few people who have expressed their interest in taking this plan further.”
Time management is definitely a challenge and my life has been very hectic. I managed to squeeze in time for grooming sessions and I have reached here only because of the support of my family and friends.”
