Baahubali 2 will not be the end, says SS Rajamouli

The much awaited Baahubali: The Conclusion aka Baahubali 2 trailer release was finally over on Thursday and was received with much applause. The film is the second part of Baahubali: The Beginning’ (2015), which was a blockbuster hit.

Baahubali 2 release date is scheduled for April 28, 2017. The mega film Baahubali 2 trailer launch event was held in Mumbai today. Director SS Rajamouli, Baahubali actors Prabhas and Rana Daggubati, presenter of the Baahubali 2 Hindi version – Karan Johar and Anil Thadani of AA Films were present at the Baahubali 2 trailer release function.

Among other things, Rajamouli made a big announcement, that he is turning Baahubali into a franchise, and so the second part would not be the end.

Interacting with the press, the director revealed, “Baahubali is going to be a franchise. But Baahubali, the film will only be part one and two. Don’t want to kill a golden goose just because I want to make money. Just because we have a market, I don’t want to sell the film’s soul.”

Baahubali director Rajamouli claimed that there were a few improvements in filming the action sequences for Baahubali 2. He said, “The film is a continuation of the first film. I have just ‘upped’ the effects and action sequences, the story is not re-touched,” he explained.

Rajamouli and Anil Thadani also revealed, “We are releasing Baahubali again one or two weeks before releasing Baahubali 2, so people can understand the story well.”

As expected Rajamouli was one again asked the million-dollar question, as to why Kattappa killed Baahubali, and also about the trolls and jokes around the question. His reply was, “I believe that the trolling my film receives is directly proportionate to the love my film has released. I am very sure that the film will make a grand first day, first show opening.”
