BJP national president Amit Shah expressed confidence on Monday that the party will form the next government in Telangana where polls are due to take place after two years.

Amit Shah who is touring Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana slammed the ruling TRS government for not taking the centrally-funded schemes to the citizens, particularly the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan toilet scheme.

According to Deccan Chronicle, the BJP national president Amit Shah commented on the KCR government saying: “I interacted with some poor households in the village. I found that the Central government’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan toilet scheme did not reach the people.

“As many as 4.5 crore toilets have been constructed for the poor in the country, but in Theratpally no such toilets were found. This shows that the state government is not implementing Central schemes and taking them to people.”

Amit Shah revealed that through the tour, he intended to bolster the BJP party from the booth level onwards and appeal to all sections of people, particularly the dalits, BCs, youth and women to endorse the party.

Getting a grand welcome by the party’s local cadre, Amit Shah boasted that the BJP was the largest political party in the world with 11 crore membership while running governments in 13 states. Amit Shah added that through the Deendayal Upadhyaya Karya Vistaran Yojana, the BJP will rise in regions where it doesn’t have much presence yet.

The BJP national president asked his party workers to spread the party wings throughout the length and breadth of Telangana state like a “tsunami”.

Amit Shah has been further quoted by the Deccan Chronicle, as saying: “The way the BJP is fighting in Telangana in the last two years, I am confident in the coming days that the BJP will form the government.

“Friends, under the leadership of Narendrabhai, the Central government has introduced several schemes for the poor, dalits, adivasis, youth, women, farmers and other sections of people.”
